Detailed Track record of Prof. Jacques Lalevée (Age: 46 years)

After studying Physical Chemistry at the University of Nancy (now University of Lorraine), Prof. J. Lalevée received his Ph.D. degree in Materials Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Jean Pierre Fouassier from Mulhouse in 2002. After ap proximately two-years of postdoctoral research with Prof. Gerd Kothe (Germany), he joined the “Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Mulhouse (ENSCMu)” in September, 2004. He was promoted to full professor in September, 2009. Since 2011, Jacques has been a Professor at the “Institut Universitaire de France (IUF-Paris)”. His current research interests encompass the design of new (photo)polymerization initiating systems and new polymers, as well as mechanistic elucidation in polymer chemistry. He has published ~495 high level peer-reviewed papers with an H-index of 57. Prof. Lalevée leads the CRM research group (CNRS-IS2M). In 2017, Prof. Lalevée was selected by the American Chemical Society in Macromolecules as a highly prolific author (only 7 nominates in the world). The CRM Group area of expertise is in photochemical reactivity, radical processes, photopolymerization reactions and 3D printing. My group is particularly well known for the proposal of new photoinitiating systems and has collaborated with 25 industrial partners for various applications in various fields involving photopolymerization reactions as eco-friendly process (low migration inks, medical applications, chemical sealant, composites, food, colour stability in windows, etc.). More recently, new recycling strategies based on the photoactivation of polymers were developed and reported (publication in Adv. Fun. Mater., 2 patents with SATT Conectus, new technology reported in Usine Nouvelle, Les Echos…).
